Treatment for Brain Tumors

The best treatment for brain tumor would be to totally remove or destroy every abnormal cell which makes up the tumor. This would cure the patient and in some cases this is possible. However, in some tumors a cure is not possible with existing methods of treatment. The goals of therapy, in these cases are to prolong the patient's life while maintaining quality. There are three general therapeutic tools at our disposal; surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Home
